Building a Boy Band

Chesney has always wanted to be in a boy band.  He lives for tight vocals and pop energy.  He was thrilled to be picked as a part of the reality/comedy show Funny or Die’s Boy Search!  The resulting boy band, The New Average, has recorded two songs and produced one fantastic music video.  The official video “Hey!” was released on YouTube’s VEVO on May 28, 2014.

Vocals

Chesney has only officially recorded one single–“I Know What You Want.”  He has two demos that were rough recorded and two other original songs written.  He has performed and auditioned with numerous cover songs.  He typically performs pop, R&B, and Broadway show tunes.

Collaboration Project

Summer 2014 – Chesney, along with one of his best friends, Keith Sorrells, co-wrote the lyrics to “Goodbye.”  The very talented Keith played EVERY instrument then the two of them recorded their vocals.  Keith named the group “Ms. Hollywood’s Thompson.”  The song is a very unusual mix of retro-rock and pop.  If you like it, then also like the group on Facebook.

Co-Ed Band

Chesney spent a few months in a cover band appropriately named “Co-ed.”  They played a show at House of Blues in Anaheim and made it in front of the judges on X-Factor before being split apart by Simon.

Just for Fun

Chesney and his mother, Heidi, recorded a music video appreciating the joy of Chicken Minis from Chick-Fil-A.  They have also recorded the “Chick-Fil-A One App Rap” but have not moved forward on the video.
